History

1983

Upon graduation from the Eastern School of Musical Instrument Repair, Joel R. Smith, and his parents Dr. Charles & Fran Smith opened Salisbury Music & Instrument Repair at 810 Eastern Shore Drive. Salisbury Music & Instrument Repair was a band instrument repair shop which also sold small accessories.

1987

Salisbury Music moved to it’s current address at 925 Eastern Shore Drive, and started giving music lessons, selling guitars, drum sets, etc.

1994

Salisbury Music started selling Baldwin Pianos, holding our 1st Civic Center Piano Sale in June.

2003

Salisbury Music stopped selling Baldwin Pianos

2007

Salisbury Music stopped giving music lessons and downsized into the rear of their present building, focusing mostly on the School Band side of the business, which includes: repairs, band & orchestra rentals, method books and accessories, in addition to continuing to move and rent pianos and sell Piano Teaching Materials.

2009

www.salisburymusic.com re-established after a several year hiatus.
